Edward Lloyd-Jones, partner
Edward Lloyd-Jones, who studied at Liverpool University and the College of Law, has worked in Southwark since qualifying as a solicitor more than 30 years ago - first, for six years, at the local Law Centre and subsequently at this legal aid practice. He has been a member of The Law Society's Children Panel since it was set up in the mid 1980s and specialises in representing children and parents in public law care proceedings. Edward is a visiting lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London. Edward’s most recent publications are The Forward March of Children’s Justice Halted (Triarchy Press 2008) and The Children Act 1989: high hopes and lost opportunities? (Journal of Children’s services 2010).
Ajanta Sinha, partner
Ajanta Sinha studied at Nottingham University and at Manchester Polytechnic. She trained at Sheffield Law Centre and Southwark Law Centre on a trainee solicitor programme with Lomax Lloyd-Jones. Ajanta completed her trainee Solicitor/Articles at Lomax Lloyd-Jones and qualified in 1993. Her specialist area is Children’s Law and Family Law. Ajanta has been a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel since 1999 and is a member of Specialist Accreditation Panel of Resolution Family Lawyers.
Marya James, consultant
Marya James trained at London School of Economics and at the College of Law. She has previously worked at Powell Spencer Solicitors, Camden Law Centre, Commission for Racial Equality and 3 education authorities. Marya has worked at Lomax Lloyd-Jones for 13 years and has been a member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel for 12 years.
